SHIO-KOJI CHICKEN RICE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice or short grain rice

  • 1 cup Water

  • 1 Shio-koji or Chive Salt Koji marinated chicken breast or thigh

Instructions

Rice cooker

  1. Rinse the rice

  2. Put rice and water and chicken on top in a rice cooker

  3. Cook

  4. Open the lid and fluff the rice and chicken

  5. Sprinkle some green onion, nori seaweed and chili flakes if desired

Pot

  1. Rinse the rice

  2. Put rice and water and chicken on top in a rice cooker

  3. Bring it to a rapid boil

  4. Turn the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes

  5. Turn off heat and leave it on the element for 5 minutes

  6. Open the lid and fluff the rice

  7. Sprinkle some green onion, nori seaweed and chili flakes if desired

    ***Do not open the lid while it’s cooking
